Dundee BikeBoost

Promoting cycling in the Dundee Community

Dundee Travel Active and Get Cycling teamed up deliver a free cycle scheme to residents in the Hilltown, Stobswell, City Centre and West End areas of Dundee.

We recruited 98 residents who borrowed bikes for utility journeys, such as shopping, getting to appointments, getting to work, picking up your children or as a means to get fit and lose weight.

92 residents regularly cycled throughout the challenge, and 86% continue to cycle at least once a week - good work Dundee!

This challenge ran 22/06/2010 to 27/08/2010.

Had a wee cycle down Riverside and went to Tesco for some groceries. Cycling is so much quicker than walking! Not to mention way more fun! 6:07pm, 21/07/10

Cycled to work and back today - was lovely - sun came out just in time for my journey in and was dry on the way home - so much better than walking or the bus trip. 11:07pm, 15/07/10
